# cPanel API 2 Functions - DomainLookup::getmaindomain

## Description

This function retrieves a cPanel account's main domain.

Warning:
We **strongly** recommend that you use [UAPI](/cpanel/introduction/) instead of cPanel API 2. However, no equivalent UAPI function exists.
