# cPanel API 2 Functions - LangMods::getprefix

## Description

This function retrieves a cPanel-supported scripting language module's base directory.

We **strongly** recommend that you use [UAPI](/cpanel/introduction/) instead of cPanel API 2. However, no equivalent UAPI function exists.
