# cPanel API 2 Functions - Stats::lastapachehits Warning: The cPanel API 2 system is deprecated. We **strongly** recommend that you use [UAPI](/cpanel/introduction) instead of cPanel API 2. ## Description This function retrieves the Apache log file's most recent hits to a domain. Warning: We **strongly** recommend that you use [UAPI](/cpanel/introduction/) instead of cPanel API 2. However, no equivalent UAPI function exists. Important: When you disable the [*Web Server* role](https://docs.cpanel.net/knowledge-base/general-systems-administration/how-to-use-server-profiles/#roles), the system **disables** this function. ## Examples WHM API (JSON) ```undefined syntaxhighlighter-pre https://hostname.example.com:2087/cpsess###########/json-api/cpanel?cpanel_jsonapi_user=user&cpanel_jsonapi_apiversion=2&cpanel_jsonapi_module=Stats&cpanel_jsonapi_func=lastapachehits&domain=example.com ``` Note: For more information, read our [Calls from the WHM API](/whm/use-whm-api-to-call-cpanel-api-and-uapi) documentation. LiveAPI PHP Class ```undefined syntaxhighlighter-pre $cpanel = new CPANEL(); // Connect to cPanel - only do this once. // Retrieve last Apache hits for example.com. $get_last_apache_hit = $cpanel->api2( 'Stats', 'lastapachehits', array( 'domain' => 'example.com', ) ); ``` Note: For more information, read our [Guide to the LiveAPI System](/guides/guide-to-the-liveapi-system/#guide-to-the-liveapi-system). LiveAPI Perl Module ```undefined syntaxhighlighter-pre my $cpliveapi = Cpanel::LiveAPI->new(); # Connect to cPanel - only do this once. # Retrieve last Apache hits for example.com. my $get_last_apache_hit = $cpliveapi->api2( 'stats', 'lastapachehits', { 'domain' => 'example.com', } ); ``` Note: For more information, read our [Guide to the LiveAPI System](/guides/guide-to-the-liveapi-system/#guide-to-the-liveapi-system). cPanel Tag System (deprecated) Warnings: - cPanel tags are **deprecated**. We **strongly** recommend that you **only** use the [LiveAPI](/guides/guide-to-the-liveapi-system) system to call the cPanel APIs. Examples are **only** present in order to help developers move from the old cPanel tag system to our [LiveAPI](/guides/guide-to-the-liveapi-system). - cPanel API 2 calls that use cPanel tags vary in code syntax and in their output. - For more information, read our [Deprecated cPanel Tag Usage](/cpanel-api-2/cpanel-api-2-deprecate-cpanel-tag-usage/) documentation. Command Line ```undefined syntaxhighlighter-pre cpapi2 --user=username Stats lastapachehits domain=example.com ``` div Notes: - You **must** URI-encode values. - `username` represents your account-level username. - You **must** include the `--user=username` option. - For more information and additional output options, read our [Guide to cPanel API 2](/cpanel-api-2/) documentation or run the `cpapi2 --help` command. - If you run CloudLinux™, you **must** use the full path of the `cpapi2` command: ```undefined syntaxhighlighter-pre /usr/local/cpanel/bin/cpapi2 ``` br Output (JSON) ```undefined syntaxhighlighter-pre { "cpanelresult": { "apiversion": 2, "func": "lastapachehits", "data": [{ "protocol": "HTTP/1.1", "ip": "10.4.10.1", "status": "404", "httpdate": "21/Oct/2014:09:40:27", "size": 0, "timestamp": 1413902427, "agent": "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_10_0)", "url": "/otherexample/", "method": "GET", "tz": "-0500", "line": 1, "referer": "" }], "event": { "result": 1 }, "module": "Stats" } } ``` Note: Use cPanel's *[API Shell](https://docs.cpanel.net/cpanel/advanced/api-shell-for-cpanel)* interface (*cPanel >> Home >> Advanced >> API Shell*) to directly test cPanel API calls. ## Parameters table thead tr th Parameter th Type th Description th Possible values th Example tbody tr td code domain td em string td p strong Required p The domain. td A valid domain on the server. td code example.com ## Returns table thead tr th strong Return th strong Type th strong Description th strong Possible values th strong Example tbody tr td protocol td em string td The version of the request protocol. td Any HTTP request version, in escaped format. td pre code HTTP/1.1 tr td code ip td em string td The IP address. td A valid IP address on the server. td code 10.4.10.1 tr td code status td em integer td The HTTP response code. td ul li code 200 — OK li code 400 — Bad request. li code 404 — File not found. li code 500 — Internal service error. li code 503 — Service unavailable. li code 504 — Gateway timeout. td code 200 tr td code httpupdate td em string td The request's date and time. td A time stamp, in escaped format. td code 21/Oct/2014:09:40:29 tr td code size td em integer td The file's size, in bytes. td Any positive integer. td code 400 tr td code timestamp td em string td The request's date and time, in a Unix time format. td A Unix timestamp. td code 1413902429 tr td code agent td em string td The agent of the client that requested the file. td Any web client and operating system. td pre code Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_10_0) tr td code url td em string td The requested file's filepath, in escaped format. td Any valid filepath. td code /otherexample/ tr td code method td em string td The HTTP method. td ul li code GET li code POST td code GET tr td code tz td em string td The request's time zone, offset from a Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). td Any a UTC time offshoot td code -0500 tr td code line td em string td The HTTP request's RequestLine. td Any line in the HTTP request body. td code 2 tr td code referrer td em string td The URL that directed the client to the log file. td Any valid URL on the server. td code http://example.com/ tr td code reason td em string td div p A reason for failure. p This function only returns a code reason value if there was an error. td span A string that describes the error. td code This is an error message. tr td code result td em Boolean td p Whether the function succeeded. td ul li code 1 — The function succeeded. li code 0 — The function failed. td code 1
