# cPanel API 2 Functions - ZoneEdit::get_zone_record

Warning:

## Description

This function retrieves the domain's zone record.

Warnings:
* This function is deprecated. Use the [`Zonefile::fetchzone_records`](/cpanel-api-2/cpanel-api-2-modules-zoneedit/cpanel-api-2-functions-zoneedit-fetchzone_records/) function instead.
* We **strongly** recommend that you use [UAPI](/cpanel/introduction/) instead of cPanel API 2. However, no equivalent UAPI function exists.
