# Update domain to use NSEC

This function configures the domain to use Next Secure Record (NSEC) semantics instead of Next Secure Record 3 (NSEC3) semantics.



  When you disable the DNS role, the system  this function.

## Query parameters:

  - `domain` (string, required)
    The domain on which to disable NSEC3 semantics and use NSEC semantics.
    Example: "example.com"

## Response 200 fields (application/json):

  - `apiversion` (integer)
    The version of the API.
    Example: 3

  - `func` (string)
    The name of the method called.
    Example: "unset_nsec3"

  - `module` (string)
    The name of the module called.
    Example: "DNSSEC"

  - `result` (object)

  - `result.data` (object)
    Example: {"disabled":{"example.com":1}}

  - `result.data.disabled` (object)
    A list of the domains for which the system disabled NSEC3.
    Example: {"example.com":1}

  - `result.data.disabled.additionalProperties` (integer)
    Whether the system disabled NSEC3 on the domain.

*  — Disabled.
*  — The system failed to disable NSEC3.



This return's name is the  parameter's value.

  - `result.errors` (array,null)
    List of errors if the API failed.

  - `result.messages` (array,null)
    List of messages generated by the API.

  - `result.metadata` (object)

    - 1 - Success
- 0 - Failed: Check the errors field for more details.
