# Start IMAP Full-Text Search scan for email account

This function requests that the IMAP Full-Text Search Indexing (powered by Apache Solr™) plugin rescan an email account.



To enable this function, you  install the  plugin in WHM's  interface (). For more information, read our install_dovecot_fts script documentation.



When you disable the Receive Mail role, the system disables this function.

Security: BasicAuth

## Query parameters:

  - `account` (string, required)
    The email user's account name.



If you do not enter an email address, the function rescans the default email account.
    Example: "username@example.com"

## Response 200 fields (application/json):

  - `apiversion` (integer)
    The version of the API.
    Example: 3

  - `func` (string)
    The name of the method called.
    Example: "fts_rescan_mailbox"

  - `module` (string)
    The name of the module called.
    Example: "Email"

  - `result` (object)

  - `result.data` (integer)
    Whether the system started the rescan.

    Enum: 0, 1

  - `result.errors` (array,null)
    List of errors if the API failed.

  - `result.messages` (array,null)
    List of messages generated by the API.

  - `result.metadata` (object)

  - `result.status` (integer)

    List of warnings generated by the API. Warnings describe non-critical failures or other problematic conditions noted while running a API.
