# cPanel API 2 Functions - SourceIPCheck::getaccount

## Description

This function retrieves the account to which the system will apply security questions.

We **strongly** recommend that you use [UAPI](/cpanel/introduction/) instead of cPanel API 2. However, no equivalent UAPI function exists.
